Roll-ups

An aPriori roll-up is a set of components, parts, virtual parts, assemblies, or other roll-ups. A roll-up is like an assembly; however, unlike an assembly, a roll-up:

• Can include other roll-ups

• Has no associated CAD component and process costs

• Can include functional groups consisting of nested roll-ups

Note: Roll-up subcomponents are not CAD-connected and therefore cannot fetch new GCDs. You cannot change GCD-related settings such as the progress group for a subcomponent, unless it is also open in its own tab. This only applies to roll-ups. Subcomponents of assemblies can be CAD-connected.
